Each round you draft from a random shop, place units on your side of an 8x8 grid, and then sit back as both boards smash into each other with zero input from you. You earn income from wins, losses, and interest on unspent cash, so hoarding becomes a viable strategy until you need to splash out. Manage your economy too loosely and you'll be stuck with a weak board while opponents power-level past you. That moment when you roll down 40 gold hunting for a third copy of your carry and hit it with 2 gold left—that's the kind of rush that keeps me clicking next round. The shared unit pool adds a nasty layer of denial: if three other players are hoarding knights, your knight comp will be starved. You can't just force the same build every game. Positioning matters more than newcomers expect. Moving a fragile damage dealer one hex to the left can be the difference between getting assassinated in the first second and carrying the whole fight.
