Two players, one shared board, and a constant gamble over which tile to commit where. Each turn hands you a single tile carrying a biome and an army value. You drag it onto any empty cell — or click to drop it — and if it lands next to an opponent's tile, battle happens. Lower number gets absorbed, higher number claims the space. What starts as a calm land grab turns messy fast once both sides start stacking reinforcements on contested borders. The real tension isn't just capturing; it's deciding when to strengthen your own tile instead of attacking. You can drop your tile onto one of your existing cells to boost its value (think of it as digging in), which sounds safe until you realize you just spent a turn not expanding while the other side gobbled up three low-value cells. I kept coming back to the same mistake: spreading too thin early, then watching a single beefed-up enemy tile roll through my scattered outposts like a bulldozer. One game I pulled off a comeback by ignoring the center entirely and building a fortress on the edge — by the time my opponent noticed, I owned a third of the board with one unbreakable line. Score is tallied based on tiles controlled and their army strengths, so a few fortified strongholds can outweigh a sprawling but weak empire. The grid fills up relatively quickly, and the last turns feel like chess endgames where every placement could flip a whole region.
