The chariot lurches and sways. Stop clicking and it bleeds speed fast. That's the whole loop, and it works stupidly well. The hard part isn't the clicking. It's clicking smart. You'll barrel toward narrow arches, broken columns, and other charioteers who want your lane. One mistimed burst sends you skidding into a wall and it's game over. I kept losing at the same stretch — a tight left turn right after a long straight — until I learned to ease off the mouse for half a second. That half-second of not clicking felt wrong, like letting go of the gas in a street race, but it's the only way to keep the wheels on the track. Visually it's simple, bright, and fast. The chariot has weight; you feel every bump and near miss through the screen shake and the horses' snorts (okay, maybe not snorts, but there are sound effects). It's a perfect two-minute break game, but good luck stopping after one run. I told myself I'd quit after escaping once. Thirty minutes later I was still chasing a cleaner line.
