City Hero Full doesn't waste time on backstory. You spawn on a street corner, a couple of punks are already swinging, and your health bar starts dropping if you hesitate. Arrow keys handle movement, mouse aims and clicks throw punches or whatever weapon your hero has picked up. It sounds simple—and it is—but the timing matters more than you'd think. I got smacked around my first run because I button-mashed instead of waiting for the enemy wind-up. Rookie mistake. The game is split into short waves or zones, each one ramping up the number and aggression of enemies. Some come at you with pipes, others hang back and throw stuff. You learn quickly that backing into a corner is death; keep moving, use the whole screen, and pick off the weakest first. There's a genuine satisfaction when you clear a section without taking a hit—the little score popups reward aggression, but reckless play gets punished. I found myself replaying the third area just to get a perfect combo. Don't expect a complex upgrade tree. This is old-school arcade action: punch, dodge, survive, move on. The visuals are bright and cartoonish, the sound effects are punchy enough (pun intended), and the difficulty curve is fair. It's the kind of game you open during a break, play three rounds, and suddenly realize twenty minutes disappeared.

Learn each enemy's pattern: the big bruisers hit harder but recover slower.
