The premise is deceptively straightforward: you get a grid cluttered with colored squares and a handful of glowing docking stations. Slide a block left, right, up, or down and it keeps going until it hits another block or a wall. Only blocks that land directly on a matching dock lock into place. That one rule creates a cascade of second-guessing. I spent ten minutes staring at a board because I kept nudging a yellow block past its dock by one tile. The controls feel tight, and when a block snaps into the correct dock there's a tiny satisfying click. Later levels introduce unmovable gray blocks, teleport pads, and color-mixing tiles that change a block's hue if you push it through. You'll need to plan three or four moves ahead, but the undo button (at least in the version I played) forgives a lot of mistakes. The difficulty curve is fair, not sadistic. A few puzzles had me stuck, but the solution always felt clever rather than arbitrary. If you enjoy spatial reasoning games like Rush Hour or Unblock Me, ColorDock scratches that same itch. It's a great five-minute brain break that somehow turns into an hour. What keeps me coming back is the minimal aesthetic. No flashy ads, no timers, just clean geometry and that gentle color palette. The sound design is subtle enough that I can play it with music on. Some levels have multiple solutions, so speedrunners will enjoy finding the optimal path. I caught myself retrying levels just to shave off a few moves. That's the mark of a solid puzzle game.
