You don't just slap towers anywhere in Defense Designer. The map gives you a winding route, and the smart play is to read the bends early. I lost my first run because I spread my turrets evenly along the whole road instead of stacking three at the hairpin turn where enemies slow down. Despite the minimalist look, the game has an actual decision tree. Do you want cheap rapid-fire guns for trash mobs, or slow heavy hitters for armored targets? Some runs I ignored the freezer tower entirely and then regretted it when later waves arrived in tight clumps.
