There's something weirdly satisfying about dragging a pair of threes together and hearing that soft click as a four appears. Dice Merger keeps that little dopamine loop going for as long as you can keep the board from choking itself. You start with a scattered handful of dice showing pips from one to maybe three or four, and every match you make bumps the number up by one. Sounds easy. It isn't. The real tension kicks in when you realize every move spawns new dice, and they don't always land where you want them. I had a board full of fives and sixes once, feeling smug, then the game dropped three twos in opposite corners and suddenly I was shuffling low numbers like a panicked croupier. That's the core trick: merging two sixes into a seven feels great, but it leaves behind two empty spaces that the game will happily fill with crap. You have to think about which pairs you create and where the gaps end up. You can play with the mouse — just click and drag a die onto a matching neighbor — or use W, A, S, D or arrow keys for nudging. I found the keyboard much more precise when the board gets tight. The goal is unspoken but obvious: keep merging long enough to hit a ten, a twelve, maybe even a twenty if you're a board-management wizard. There's no timer, so you can stare at the grid as long as you need. But the dice keep coming, and that's exactly what pulls you back in.

Drag a die slowly toward a potential match to see which other dice it will snap to before you release. Keep your highest-value dice tucked into corners so they don't block merges in the middle of the board. Always merge the smallest matching pairs first — leaving low numbers around creates more future merge opportunities. Use the arrow keys instead of the mouse when the board gets crowded; they give you pixel-perfect nudges. Before each move, scan the empty spaces. The game will likely spawn new dice there, so try to keep at least two adjacent gaps open. If you see a chain possibility (merge two threes to make a four, then merge that four with another four), set it up before making the first move.
