Some games want you to manage inventories or memorize combos. Elf Archer drops all that and hands you a bow. You control a lean elven fighter in tight wave-based arenas, using a virtual joystick to move and a separate touch input to aim and fire. The controls feel responsive but not cheap: arrows have travel time, enemies weave as they close in, and a missed shot leaves you standing there while a goblin's axe gets closer. That tension is the whole game. It works. I kept coming back to one level where the spawn points split to both sides of a narrow bridge. My first few runs, I would backpedal and fire wildly, and the whole thing fell apart. Then I realized you can hold your position near the center, let the left group commit, and hit them with a quick two-arrow burst before turning to the right. It's a small adjustment, but it's the kind of read that makes each wave feel like a tiny puzzle rather than pure button mashing. Some later stages add shielded enemies or fast crawlers, and you start to appreciate how important positioning is. The elf is fast, but not so fast that you can ignore geometry. If you want a lightweight browser action game, this one manages to make a simple archery loop surprisingly tense. It doesn't overcomplicate things with unnecessary progression menus or story text. You're in, you're shooting, and you're either dead or you're on the next wave. I wish there were a few more level variety tricks, but for a quick session between classes or during lunch it scratches the itch.
