The speed creeps up every second, and before long you're threading between bumpers with your heart in your throat. The cars are bright blocks of color, the highway is a dark ribbon with dashed lines, and the speed lines kick in once you're really moving. The sound is minimal but the crash is satisfyingly crunchy. If you're on mobile, use both thumbs — one for each side of the screen — because tapping with one finger feels sluggish past a certain speed. On desktop, arrow keys are responsive enough, but you'll still eat a bumper if you don't commit. Overall, Highway Racing is the kind of game you open for two minutes and end up playing for twenty.
