First thing you’ll notice: Mexico Rex 2 does not care about fair fights. You’re a big, angry dinosaur let loose in a colorful cartoon Mexico, and the locals aren’t rolling out a welcome mat. Soldiers, jeeps, helicopters — they all want a piece of you. The game throws waves at you from the start, and the only way through is to keep moving and keep swinging. I died three times before I figured out that standing still is exactly what the enemies want. You smash a car, it explodes into a shower of pixels; you bite a soldier, the combo counter ticks up.
