Mine Sweeper is the classic logic puzzle that's been eating lunch breaks since the 90s. The board is a grid of hidden tiles; some contain mines, others show numbers telling you how many mines touch that tile. Your job is to clear every safe square without ever clicking a mine. The rules sound simple, but the deductions can get deliciously tricky. Here's the part that hooks me: you've got a '1' next to two hidden tiles and a '2' further down, and suddenly you can work out that one of those tiles has to be safe because of how the numbers chain together. Or you right-click to flag all the obvious mines, then double-click a number to auto-reveal its neighbors—only to realize you misplaced a flag and now you're staring at a board full of red X's. That mix of careful logic and sudden bursts of satisfying clearing is why I keep coming back. No timers unless you want them, no enemies, no rush—just you against the grid. Right-click (or long-press on mobile) to flag every tile you think is a mine. A misplaced flag can destroy your run, so double-check before you trust a number. Start by clicking near the middle of the board. It usually opens a large safe zone, giving you numbers to work from immediately. If you see a "1" touching exactly one hidden tile, that tile is a guaranteed mine. Flag it and move on. Double-click a revealed number to auto-clear its neighbors, but only when you've flagged exactly that many mines around it. Stuck? Look at edges and corners. Fewer neighbors means simpler logic and often gives away a safe square. Don't guess if there's a logical move somewhere. Every forced deduction reduces the number of blind 50/50 moments later.
