Mini Blocks doesn't care about pretty menus or hand-holding. You're a tiny square on a screen full of hazards and the only thing standing between you and the next checkpoint is a jump button and a toggle that makes platforms vanish. I respect that. The entire game runs on two actions: hop over spikes and switch certain elements on or off. On desktop that's C, Up Arrow, or left click to jump; X, Space, or right click for the toggle. Mobile splits it cleanly — right side jumps, left side toggles. The toggle mechanic is where this gets mean in the best way. A block that saved your life two seconds ago can become a death trap if you leave it on too long. I lost count of the times I'd toggle a row of spikes off, get cocky, and then forget to turn them back on before they respawn under my feet. There's a particular stretch about a third of the way through where you have to toggle mid-air twice while clearing a triple spike wall. It took me maybe forty tries. When I finally nailed it, I didn't celebrate — I just sat there staring at the screen, hands slightly shaking. That's the mark of a good precision platformer. Visually it's pure function: flat colors, chunky squares, no background noise. The hitboxes feel exact, which is rare for browser platformers. Thumb placement matters more than reaction speed. Don't hold jump; the blocks feel better with quick taps. Long presses float you into hazards. Watch for visual tells: blocks that blink or change color usually need toggling at a specific point in the jump arc. If a section seems impossible, try toggling earlier rather than later. The timing window is more forgiving before the apex.
