Minicraft Bedwars takes the core of Bedwars—protect your bed, wreck the other guy's—and boils it down to a split-screen keyboard brawl. Red moves with WASD, blue gets the arrow keys, and the S or down arrow does double duty: it fires your active cannon and buys you a new one. Yes, both actions on one key. That sounds clunky, but the chaos is the point. You'll be strafing around a blocky arena, trying to line up a shot while your buddy is inches away spamming arrows, and then you accidentally buy a cannon instead of firing one. I died laughing the first time that happened. The controls take a round to click, but once they do, the rhythm of shoot, reposition, buy, shoot becomes weirdly satisfying. The game looks like someone rebuilt Minecraft's combat in MS Paint, and I mean that as a compliment. Chunky pixels, bright red and blue teams, beds that explode into little square particles when they're destroyed. There's no resource grinding or shop menus to wade through—just you, the opponent, and a handful of cannons. The strategy comes from where you place your firepower. You can wall off the center lane, or hide a cannon behind a block and snipe their bed from across the map. My friend found a spawn-kill setup that made me rage quit; I still haven't forgiven him.

Learn the buy animation: you're vulnerable while placing, so don't do it mid-duel. Once their bed is gone, rush their spawn immediately—they can't respawn without it.
