Mr Mage drops you into a tight arena with nothing but a wand and a healthy disregard for monster safety. Tap anywhere and your little wizard flings a bolt of magic that direction. Sounds easy, right? Then the screen fills with slimes, bats, and goblins that all want a piece of your robe. The first time a bat swoops in from the left and you panic-tap, the bolt cracks it mid-air and you feel like a god. Two seconds later, three more show up and you remember you're just a guy in a pointy hat. Between waves you'll hoard coins like a goblin yourself, then dump them into spell upgrades — faster casting, bigger explosions, maybe a bouncing projectile that turns a bad aim into a happy accident. I kept coming back to the chain lightning upgrade, because watching one tap arc through a whole cluster of enemies is deeply satisfying. The difficulty ramps just enough to make your palms sweat, but not so much you throw your mouse across the room. Mostly. The real trick is learning enemy movement. Some crawl, some swoop, some zigzag just to annoy you. You'll develop favorites to kill first (always the flying ones — they're the sneakiest). Mr Mage won't win awards for deep story, but it's exactly the kind of arcade brain-food you want between classes or during a slow afternoon. Tap, zap, repeat, and try not to blink.

Aim slightly ahead of moving enemies — your bolts have a tiny travel time. Spend coins on multi-shot early; it covers more of the screen with less precise tapping. Flying enemies are the priority. They close distance fast and often swoop from blind spots. Save your heavy spell for when a wave clusters up near the bottom of the arena. Don't corner yourself. Keep tapping and back away from the edges, because spawns can come from any side.
