It's the classic Breakout formula turned into a race, and the mouse aiming feels surprisingly tight. You click to launch and then glide left and right under your pad to keep the rally alive. Miss and the ball is gone unless you have a life left. The real hook is the risk-reward of aiming for the deeper rows. Sure, you can chip away at the front bricks while your opponent does the same, but if you angle a shot into the corners you can send the ball ricocheting through clusters and clear half the screen in one go. That's when it clicks — you're not just clearing bricks, you're trying to out-clear another human's brain. I've had rounds where I was two bricks away from victory and watched my rival chain a ridiculous combo to steal it. The colors pop, the ball speeds up as you progress, and the controls are forgiving enough for kids but twitchy enough to keep you chasing one more match.
