📝Puff Up Overview
Hold to inflate, release to shrink—one wrong puff and you're a smear on the spikes. Can you thread the needle?
💬What is Puff Up?
You know that moment when you're one tap away from disaster? Puff Up lives there. You control a squishy little blob, and the only input is hold or release. Hold down and it inflates—bigger, rounder, bouncier. Let go and it shrinks back to a tiny, nimble ball. That's it. The rest is pure level design cruelty.
The first few stages feel almost cozy. Then you meet your first row of spikes, and suddenly you're feathering the mouse button like a safecracker. I got stuck on a corridor with a rotating buzzsaw on one side and a low ceiling on the other. The only way through was to deflate mid-jump, slip under the blade while still moving, and then instantly puff up again to bounce off a spring. Took me eleven tries. The physics feel just right—soft enough to forgive tiny mistakes, but responsive enough that every death is your fault. You'll replay a section and curse, knowing the game didn't cheat; you just held too long.
There's a surprising rhythm to it. Each level becomes a tiny puzzle of timing and volume control. You start to think of your blob as a shape-shifting tool: small for tight gaps, big for reaching higher platforms or triggering pressure plates. Some levels have moving walls that only activate when you reach a certain size, which forces you to plan your inflation like a resource.
It's perfect for a quick break between classes or while waiting for something to load. But don't be surprised when that quick break turns into forty minutes. Puff Up doesn't need a story or a thousand mechanics—it just needs you to hold on a little longer than you should.

✨Game Tips
Release just before the peak of your jump to squeeze under low ceilings.
Spikes pop you instantly only if you're too big—sometimes grazing them at minimum size works.
Use your first attempt to learn the rhythm of moving parts, not to survive.
Feather the hold input instead of holding it down constantly for fine control.
Corners of the blob are more forgiving than the center when passing near hazards.
