Robot Maker is a toy box of mechanical parts where you piece together robots from scratch. You get a bunch of chassis, limbs, weapons, and gizmos, then drag and click them into place. The mouse-driven interface is forgiving but surprisingly deep — you can build something that actually moves, swings, or just wobbles hilariously. I built a three-legged walker with a buzzsaw arm and it face-planted on the test floor, which was half the fun. There's no wrong way to play; if it looks like a robot to you, it counts. The real hook is watching your creation come alive. After you finish assembling, you hit the test button and the physics engine takes over. Limbs rotate, joints bend, rockets misfire. That moment when a scrappy little bot finally stands up and takes a shaky step is absurdly satisfying. You can save your designs, load them later, and keep tweaking. Some players share their weirdest builds, but even solo, the sandbox keeps you busy for a while. Despite the simple mouse-only controls, there's enough variety in parts to keep things interesting. Wheels, treads, claws, cannons, antennae — mix and match to create something ridiculous or actually functional. The UI is bare-bones but clean, so you won't get lost in menus. Attach wheels or treads to the bottom limbs instead of just feet for a huge stability boost. Save your bot before adding complex rotating weapons; the physics engine occasionally glitches out. Don't overload one side with armor, or your robot will tip over on its very first step. Use antennae, glowing eyes, or exhaust pipes for visual flair without adding real weight.
