You get a small ship, a basic laser, and about three seconds before the first hostile blip appears on screen. From there it's a frantic dance—dodge incoming fire, line up your shots, and keep moving. The controls feel tight enough that when you die (and you will, often) it's usually your fault, not the game's. I kept coming back for the power-ups. You'll see glowing orbs drift down from destroyed enemies: spread shot, rapid fire, a shield that absorbs a hit, sometimes a screen-clearing bomb. Grabbing two spread shots in a row turns your little cruiser into a wall of plasma. But then a swarm of fast movers shows up and you realize that extra firepower doesn't mean much if you can't weave through the gaps. That tension is the whole loop, and it works. Bosses appear every few waves. They're not pushovers either—big rotating turret patterns, minion spawns, and health bars that seem to laugh at your default laser. You'll need to learn their patterns, save your bombs for the right moment, and accept that a few runs will end right at the same spot. It's simple, it's loud, and it's exactly what I want from a free browser shooter.
