I did not expect to care this much about eggs. Yolk Patrol throws you into a tiny arena where a mustached fellow shuffles back and forth, and your only job is to click left or right to keep him under the falling yolks. Click once and he turns. Click twice and he pivots faster — that's the entire control scheme, and it's enough to make your palms sweat. The genius is in the double-click. When three eggs drop at once on opposite sides, you can't just stroll over. You have to flick the mouse, click twice on the far side, watch him spin on his heel, then immediately correct before he overshoots. I lost count of the times I saved a golden egg by a single pixel and then laughed at how tense I'd gotten over a breakfast food. The difficulty ramps smoothly: early waves are gentle, but soon you're reading egg shadows, predicting bounces, and ignoring the chicken sound effects so you can focus. Yolk Patrol is hypercasual done right. No menus full of upgrades, no forced ads after every run, just a clean loop of catch, miss, restart, try to beat your high score. It's perfect for a five-minute break, though good luck stopping after five minutes. I kept telling myself 'one more round' until the eggs were all I could see behind my eyelids.

Double-click the opposite side when you need a fast direction change; one click is too slow when eggs drop on both ends. Watch the falling egg's shadow, not the egg itself. It tells you exactly where to stand. Golden eggs are worth triple points but they fall faster. Decide if the risk is worth it. Stay near the center when eggs are sparse; it's the shortest distance to both edges. Don't spam clicks. Each extra click reverses direction again, which can send you running the wrong way. If you miss an egg, let it go and reposition for the next one instead of chasing it.
