My buddy and I burned an hour on Zombie Mission X last night. It's a two-player side-scrolling shooter where one of you takes WASD and the other gets the arrow keys, and you both have to clean out abandoned labs, warehouses, and city streets overrun with zombies. The split-control setup means you're shouting at each other within minutes — especially when one of you accidentally lobs a grenade into the other's path. The weapon switching is what kept me coming back. You press Q or E to cycle through whatever you've picked up, from pistols to shotguns to something that fires in a spread. And when that SP bar finally fills, you both have to hit your special attack keys at the same time — Q+E for player one, and the arrow equivalent for player two — to trigger a screen-clearing blast. Mess up the timing and you just wasted the bar while a horde closes in. That tension is fantastic. Oh, and you can jump onto walls, which sounds weird but lets you escape ground swarms or get a better angle on bosses. It's the little movement trick that separates decent duos from the ones who clear the whole map.

Coordinate grenade throws so you don't blast each other into the swarm. Save the special attack for when both of you are cornered or a boss spawns. Switch weapons often — shotguns shred close groups, rifles handle ranged threats. Use wall jumps to reposition above the mob instead of backing into a dead end. Don't hoard grenades; they're the only cheap way to break a packed corridor. One player can kite enemies while the other revives or grabs ammo.
