I don't know what I expected from a game called Bear Adventure, but it wasn't this many close calls. You're a bear (obviously) who has to make it through a bunch of side-scrolling levels full of spikes, gaps, and moving platforms. The controls are just the arrow keys, but the jump has this slightly floaty delay that takes a few deaths to get used to. Once you do, though, stringing together jumps over a row of spikes feels great. The real hook for me was the honey. There are jars scattered in awkward spots — above a pit, behind a crumbling ledge — and grabbing them all is where the replay value comes from. I had one run where I missed a honey jar on the third jump, restarted the whole level, and then died three times at the same gap. That's the kind of frustration that keeps me playing, not away. It's not a long game, maybe a handful of levels, but each one teaches a new trick without holding your hand. Visually it's simple but clean — the bear actually looks like a bear, not a blob, and the forest backgrounds have enough variation to keep things interesting. Sound is minimal, which I actually appreciated. If you're looking for a quick platformer that respects your time but still punishes sloppy jumps, this one's worth a shot.
