I booted this up expecting a cutesy alien romp and got my little green butt handed to me by a swinging laser after about four seconds. Dr Green Alien 2 drops you into some kind of secret laboratory full of nasty environmental puzzles and security systems. The movement is tight enough that every death feels like your fault, which is exactly what you want in an adventure platformer like this. The setup is straightforward: you control a small alien (green, obviously) trying to escape room after room. You'll crawl through vents, time your runs past patrolling drones, and flip switches to open doors. The second area adds moving platforms over a pit of something glowing, and I died there more times than I'll admit. What kept me going was the checkpoint placement – it's generous without being cheap, so you're never losing more than a minute of progress. Mobile touch controls work surprisingly well, though I still prefer tapping WASD on a keyboard for the precise movements some laser corridors demand. The drone beeps give you just enough warning to slam reverse, and the difficulty ramps gradually instead of spiking in level three like so many browser games. There's no story dump, just level after level of obstacle-dodging escape rooms. It's the kind of quick-session game you tell yourself you're only playing for five minutes and then realize an hour's gone.
