There's a particular moment in stage 3 where you have to wall-jump between two towers while shuriken fly from both sides, and pulling it off feels incredible. The bosses are punishing but fair, with patterns you can learn after a few tries. No checkpoints mid-level, so you'll restart, but it never feels cheap because the controls are tight enough that your deaths are your own fault. If you have a controller, plug it in — the keyboard works, but the mobile touch controls are surprisingly decent too. Kingdom of Ninja isn't a huge game, but it's the kind you'll replay to shave seconds off your time or to beat a boss without taking damage. Free, fast, and brutal in the best way.
