My favorite trick is running along the top of the level in World 1-2 to find the warp zone to World 4. People still play Super Mario 1 unblocked because it feels fair. The controls are tight, the jumps are precise, and every death teaches you something. There's no health bar, no checkpoints in later levels, just pure platforming skill. In World 1-2, go down the pipe at the end and then walk on top of the ceiling to reach a warp zone. Save your fire flower for Bowser; three fireballs to the face ends the fight quickly.
